Levels of Membership
Studio
To qualify as a Studio Member of the LEIA, the studio candidate must have verifiable direct project expenditures of at least $2 million at the time of application. The annual dues for a Studio Member shall be $2,500. Each Studio Member is guaranteed a seat on the Board.

Producer/ Production Company
To qualify for this level of membership in LEIA, each candidate must have at least one verifiable, legitimate credit as a Producer or Production Company. The annual dues for this level of membership shall be $750. Membership at this level may be elected to a seat on the board.

General

To qualify as a general member of the LEIA, each candidate must have at least one verifiable, legitimate credit in one aspect of entertainment production. The annual dues for general membership shall be $100. Members at this level shall enhoy full voting rights and may be elected to a seat on the board.

Trade
This membership is for organizations related to or involved in the entertainment industry in some peripheral way. For example, union members are invited to join LEIA but the union itself could be a trade member. The same would hold true for an entertainment law firm or a media outlet like 225 Magazine. The annual dues for a trade membership shalll be $1,000. Trade members shall have access to other members, but shall have no voting rights.

Ad hoc
Ad hoc membership is reserved for special members such as Legislators and others who can not be regular members because of their position. A legislator like Rep. Steve Scalise or Rep. Bobby Faucheux could attend meetings and advise us on legislative issues without being actual members.

Membership in this organization should not be automatic, but should be subject to either Board or general membership vote. Any person wanting to be a member of the LEIA must be invited by a current member, then as a candidate be voted in.
